Gave us some great memories, especially against Spurs. Best of luck, Manu.

be interesting to see what he does in a different system and under a different manager. Don't think he's finished at all. As others have said maybe in one of the European Leagues

Tragic injury restricted what could have been a spectacular career. Fond memories of The Eel. He was a great servant for us and I wish him well.

Massive hit in the first few seasons. Not the same since his injury. Best memories are the goal against spurs and thr ball to set up Sakho against Manchester United

Best of luck manu!

There were two big goals against sp*rs, the equaliser in the 3 - 3 draw, and the one that finally derailed their attempt to win the league in 2017 at the LS. Legendary status for those alone.

Always liked Lanzini, proper skilful player

Love this fella. Good luck Manu
In contrast ...looks like Scamacca is on his way too. Off to Roma apparently.

What a transfer window that was - Lanzini, Antonio, Ogbonna - all at least lasted until now, plus Payet and Moses who did well too

Re: It's official - Manu has departed
Even after the injury that basically fucked him I never heard anyone shout 'what's he doing putting Lanzini with 20 to go'?

A great player on his day and seemed, like Cressy, part of the furniture.

I wish him well and what a way to bow out on eh? A cup and open bus parade. I'll look out for him wherever he turns up next and hope it won't be a two-bob prem team, if only because he WILL score against us.

A classy player like him could be a real renaissance player in Italy or Spain, somewhere he could have an extra millisecond on the ball.

Thanks and all the best Manu x

Odd comment.

Re: It's official - Manu has departed
As others said, he was a cracking player before his injury. Ironically, he probably would have left us if it wasn’t for that. Instead, we gave him a ridiculously long and expensive salary. Still, there were some great moments. He scored some memorable goals, and was part of the West Ham family.

All the best, Manu.

Little Gem I always liked him, shame about the injury and wish him all the best.

Please stop with this 'servant' shit. Footballers making £millions are not servants to anybody.
Lads in the 60's getting a couple of hunfred a week were loyal servants.

Nevertheless I liked Manu and wish him well.

Thanks Manu - THAT goal vs Spurs.
Great servant to the club

Scored some cracking goals in his time here. Hopefully he lands well. I'd imagine he's got an option or two lined up.

Re: It's official - Manu has departed
Will always be a part of West Ham folklore. Apart from winners against Tottenham and Man United a slightly forgotten goal of his was the opener when we finally won at Anfield.

Didn't ever get back to his best after the injury but never let us down. Would have been happy to see him stick around as a squad player, but understand his desire to play regular football.

As mentioned on here already, what a great player before that injury, one of my favourite West Ham players of the past ten years.

Sad to see him go. Superb signing by Bilic, and should have played more for Argentina.

Hope he returns to River Plate but wish him all the best and will look out for how he does wherever he ends up.

Good player.

Excellent player and fantastic servant to the club.

Re: It's official - Manu has departed
If only we had kept a motivated Payet alongside a fit Lanzini. Such a shame he was effectively finished by injury.
